The Baba Yaga

About Me

I am a character and creature designer for the entertainment industry. I started off my career as a make-up effects artist in the 90s ,sculpting and designing creatures in clay and applying prosthetic make-ups on TV shows and movies like "the Crow", "Sin City", "Tales from the Crypt" and ''The Narnia Chronicles". In 2005 I discovered a little digital sculpting program called Zbrush, that's when everything changed for me. I decided that the hybridization of practical and digital was where I should focus my abilities. As luck would have it the first film I did as a digital /practical artist was "Avatar" for Stan Winston Studios. Since that time I went on to become the Lead Character Designer and Concept Artist at Legacey Effects and have Designed for many high profile films like "Cowboy and Aliens", "Thor", and "John Carter of Mars" Have a look around, Enjoy!
